TreeView

Any know if 2007 can make a tree view form?
This site has a good free example (http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/)
but doesn't seem to work with 2007. Maybe due to VBA changes.

I wanted to do exactly as their example with a table columns shown as tree.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you put the database in a Trusted Location and set the references as per
his tutorial, it should work OK in 2007.

I just tried that example in 2007....it works fine.....

Make sure your view the tutorial. In his example he using access 2000 in
which you need to set a dao reference. In 2007, we don't have to do that
anymore (yea!!). His code for SOME VERY STRANGE reason ALSO USES ADO, and
thus you need while looking at code go tools-references and setup the
reface to the common dialogs (as his video shows). You then need to setup a
reference to ADO (just choose

Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects (choose 2.6 or the latest you find).

I would think long and hard about introducing activeX controls into your
application. Often, in place of a drill down, I use two sub-forms as show in
these screen shots:

You can also in place of the common dialogs, use the VB6 treeview. In access
2003, the runtime does install the treeview, I have to assume that access
2007 (and runtime) does the same.
