Default Extra Slice in Pie in Pie chart

I have created a Pie in Pie chart, but excel has added an extra slice in the
first chart. And then Excel has taken the data I need for the extra pie, and
used that data and the separate date and put them in the other pie chart.
How do I get my main date back into the first pie chart and only have the
data that shows how the main data is broken down. If you're not too
confused, please help.

Thanks

Hi,

Have a read of this article on pie of pies to understand how it works and
how you need to setup your data.

Default Extra Slice in Pie in Pie chart

After reading the article, and following it step by step, I still end up with
an extra wedge in the large pie. I only have two set of values I need for
the smaller pie, not three. Could that be the problem?

Default Extra Slice in Pie in Pie chart

Hi,

The second pie is based on some part of your data and the 'Others'
section it represents will automatically be created.

It almost sounds like you don't need a pie of pie.
Can you provide example of the data/category names you have and what
should be in each pie, Bearing in mind the main pie will have to have a
minimum of 2 slices.

Cheers
Andy

I appreciate your advice. In spending quite some time, I realized that the
supervisor who had given me the data, had included the data twice; therefore
not allowing me to get rid of the extra wedge. Thank you for your help and
the article, it was very helpful and will help with other charts.
