Default Design View - Can you hide Field Properties/Default to Design View

In Design View, is there a way to 'hide' the field properties in order to
free up the bottom half of the screen so i can see more field names/entries?
Also, is there a way to have a file you open default to opening in Design
View?

No, but if you have more than 30 or so fields your table structure
probably needs to be reconsidered; and you can of course scroll down
and see all 255 fields if you're unwise enough to define them!

You could have a Macro named Startup which opens one table in design
view, but I can't imagine that being practical in the long run. What's
wrong with right-mouse-click and object and select Design View?

i only have 25 fields, i just would like to see them all - and that field
properties segment takes up half the screen. i had not yet learned about the
right click option to open in design view, that helps! thanks!

Sorry, I don't know of any way to adjust it.
