Why do "Calendar" and "Contacts" appear in my Outlook Mail folder
Why do "Calendar" and "Contacts" appear in my Outlook Mail folder view? When
I start Outlook 2003 they are not there. But they appear there in the course of using the program, and cannot be removed except by restarting the computer. |

My guess is that you are switching the navigation pane from the Mail list to the Folders list. The Folders list is the pre-2003 view that shows a tree list with ALL the folders. At the bottom of the button pane is probably a folder-looking icon. When you hover over it, you see a balloon that says "Folders List". That shows ALL your folders. You need to click on the Mail button to revert back to the Mail List view in the navigation pane. If you click on the Go menu, you will see all the shortcut keys for switching views in the navigation pane. Maybe you keep hitting Ctrl+6 which switches to the Folders List view. |
