How Can You Delete Messages Without Opening Them?

Hello. I have security-related issues with a new Internet server and
would like to delete spam from OE without the messages opening. I've
read and searched OE Help without being able to find an answer to this
question. (If you highlight, click, even drop-and-drag a message to
DELETE, the message still opens.)

View/Layout/untick Show Preview Pane. You can add a button to the same
bar that Send/Receive is on by right clicking on it and choosing
Customize. Then add the Preview Pane icon.

OEviewlayoutdisable preview pane, then delete.
A preview button shortcut can be added to the toolbar for easy access, Rt
click top toolbarcustomise, select in left and add, move up or down for
choice.
