Help: OE6 spell checker problem
Greetings,
I am running XP Pro, Office 2000 as core applications. The spelling checker works perfectly. If I click to use the spell checker in Outlook Express it attempts to load Microsoft Digital Imaging Suite which was on my machine and which I removed some time ago using the correct method. I notice however that Add/Remove Progs still has three lines of it present ending Blocker, Editor, and Library. Clicking on any of them shows when they were last used but there is no remove button. I have tried the options shown in various M$ KB articles and specialist adviser sites, but they all seem to relate to OE5 - certainly the registry structure is different from those described. Anyone any ideas why this is happening and how I can get back to the correct sell checker? -- Woody harrogate3 at ntlworld dot com |

OE6 spell checker problem
Been to both of those - no good. The spell-checker works perfectly with other progs, so there can't be much wrong with the files. It just looks as though OE6 has got the wrong path and so tries to open M$ DIM - though why baffles me. OE6 spell checker problem
It's probably a variation on this issue
Clicking Send or Running Spell Check in OE Runs Installer for Picture It http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=294731 OE5, OE5.5 and OE6 are substantially the same program. They use the same registry structure to the point that OE6 registry keys still says 5.0 -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "harrogate3" wrote in message ... See Michael's reply.
Some users will need a Copy of CSAPI3T1.DLL in the OE program folder, too (typically C:\Program Files\Outlook Express). -- ~PA Bear Woody wrote: Been to both of those - no good.
