I HAVE A SPREADSHEET THAT I HAVE IN A CELL 934T01. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE
BACKGROUND START AS RED AND THEN THEY TYE 934T01 AGAIN AND IT WILL CHANGE TO
GREEN BACKGROUND. IS THIS POSSIBLE.

first of all, stop SHOUTING. all caps is viewed as shouting.

second of all, what you've described is not typing in "another word",
it's typing in the same word, a second time. you could set up
conditional formatting so that if you enter 934T01 it would color a
certain way, but it would always color that same way no matter how
many times you type in 934T01. you'd have to type in another,
different word in order to get the color to change to something else.
so as far as i know, what you ask is not possible except by using a
worksheet_change macro and with a boolean value to keep track of how
many times that same word is entered.
but i'm no guru.

Yes, but we need more info:
1-What do you want if they type 934T01 in the cell several times?
2-What do you want if they type anything else in the cell?
3-What do you want if they type anything in any other cell?

Vaya con Dios,
