Default Pub2003 cannot open a Pub 2000 document

I have several Pub 2000 documents (all of them created in the same time frame, 8/2003, to be exact) which my upgraded 2003 will not open. Other Pub 2000 files created before and after will open. I suspect the files somehow got corrupted. But, the files appear in My Documents, with the file size in tact...so the data is in there somewhere! I have tried to open with other programs without success. Any suggestions?

You can save the text if you think the files are corrupt, open, files of type, scroll
down to "recover text from any file."

Mary, could you please explain in detail. I don't seem to locate how to excersize these options you suggest.

Brian, I don't have this option. If I go to the specific file I can't get passed "OPEN" and there is no arrow I just get the cant open this file error box. If I just open Publisher 2003 up, I go to FILE and then I get my document drop down box. THere is no drop down box that says "files of type" so I am stuck right from the get go.

File, open, Choose the "recover...." option first, then click on the document.
