Default dual y-axis align grid, drop line to y axis, add-ins

1. Is there a way of scaling two y axis so that the grid lines intersect at
a specified integer on both axes, other than trial-and-error?

2. Other than drawing one, how would one drop a perpendicular line (s)from a
plotted line to the y axis?

3. Any recommendations for free and paid (please specify) add-ins for excel
2007 charts?

Thanks in a advance,

John (SAS programmer who must use excel)

1. You can adapt the algorithms described in this post:

2. Use an error bar.
http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsHowTo/ErrorBars.html
http://peltiertech.com/WordPress/err...in-excel-2007/

3. What kind of added functionality are you in need of?

I have released some commercial utilities:
http://peltiertech.com/Utility/WaterfallUtility.html *
http://peltiertech.com/Utility/BoxPlotUtility.html *
http://peltiertech.com/Utility/ClusterStackUtility.html
http://peltiertech.com/Utility/MarimekkoUtility.html
Maybe I'm biased, but I think they're pretty good, and only one customer out
of around 200 has asked for a refund (and the utility didn't work because
the customer wouldn't perform a Detect and Repair correction of Excel).

The two starred utilities in the list above also have free evaluation
versions with somewhat reduced functionality. I also have posted more free
utilities than I can remember, but here are some of them:
http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsH...rtUtility.html
http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/ChgSrsFmla.html
http://peltiertech.com/WordPress/enh...art-procedure/
http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...tCreation.html

The commercial utilities all work in Excel 2000 through 2007. The free ones
work in 2000 through 2003 and some have been adjusted to work in 2007.

In addition to these utilities, I have posted are innumerable examples that
show how to manipulate charts with VBA, as well as some VBA tutorials. Start
with this tutorial:

Here are lists of VBA-related content:
