Default Why does my mouse float sometimes?

Ok, I don't know if this is a software or hardware problem. When I am not
using my mouse the pointer will not remain stationary on the screen instead
it floats to the upper right hand corner of my screen. Then I am unable to
use the mouse to move it. I have to use the mouse built-in to my laptop to
forceably move the pointer around.

Anyone have this problem?

You may try Unsetting "Enhance pointer precision" in Mouse Properties,
Pointer Options tab.
