Default Hyperlinks change after saving

Excel 2002

I have a file on a server on the intranet:

\\shared\test\test.xls

Now I make a hyperlink in another workbook by Insert - Hyperlink

works fine until I save the workbook. Suddenly it can´t find the
text.xls anymore and the route to the file changed to :
.../shared/test/test.xls

I´ve seen a lot of similar postings here already but none of them with
a (in my case) working solution.

thanks

Have you tried File / Properties / Hyperlink Base /
\\SomeNonexistentServerName\Junk

Bill,

thanks a lot. Now it works fine.
The only thing is that if I now want a link to another sheet in the
same workbook, I have to browse to the workbook on disk - select the
workbook - and then select the sheet. More work, but it still works.

thanks a lot.
