Can I install Office 2003 Pro over my old Office 2000?

Default Can I install Office 2003 Pro over my old Office 2000?

I do not want to lose my e-mails that I currently have and want to know if I
install my new Office 2003 over Office 2000 will it wipe them out?

Anytime you are making a change, it's never a bad idea to back things up
first. Stuff happens - and it will happen when you can least afford it to do
so.

But I am not able to back up my e-mails. It is not letting me back up .PST
files.

That's a completely different question than the one you posted. If you are
having problems backing up your files, I would suggest a new post asking for
assistance with that. Make sure you post the software and version you are
using as well as any and all details about what happens when you try.

My original question stands. I am going to install Office 2003 pro. I just
want to know if I can install it over my Office 2000 and if I do so will I
lose all the e-mails that are sitting there currently.
