2007 Microsoft Office Suite SP2
I have tried unsuccessfully for over a month to install 2007 Microsoft Office
Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2). The package downloads, the computer sets its restore point and about halfway through the installation, I get a failure which gives me a "Code 92D Windows Update encountered an unknown error." I am running Windows Vista Ultimate on a Dell Vostro 400, Intel Core2 Duo E6850 @ 3GHz, 4GB RAM. My virus protection is Avast. I have Microsoft Office Small Business 2007.

2 things to try (1) search for normal.dot and rename it old and then try the install of SP2 (2)Disable Avast for the duration of the install along with going off line and leaving the install alone(no multitasking) Post back and let us know -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged.
