prevent OL2003 to use a semi-colon as separator in fields?
it seems that outlook automatically orders the different members of the "list" in alphabetical order:
Nana, Fatou, Izra and Uma is interpreted as (Nana) (Fatou) (Izra and Uma) and after ordering, it becomes (Fatou) (Izra and Uma) (Nana) Is there any way to prevent outlook from automatic ordering this 'list'? regards, bart -- ========================================== Hyper A.R.T. bart plessers Paul Van Ostaijenlaan 4 3001 Heverlee BELGIUM tel: +32 (16) 23.40.85 fax: +32 (16) 23.41.06 ========================================== "bart plessers" wrote in message ... correct. I am using an english version, but with "belgium" regional settings. Changed the list separator to ',' and the conversion from ";" to "," is skipped. Still have another problem: if I enter Nana, Fatou, Izra en Uma, I get Fatou, Izra en Uma, Nana So the first name is move to the last place. is there a solution for this? tia bart -- ========================================== Hyper A.R.T. bart plessers Paul Van Ostaijenlaan 4 3001 Heverlee BELGIUM tel: +32 (16) 23.40.85 fax: +32 (16) 23.41.06 ========================================== "Brian Tillman" wrote in message ... bart plessers wrote: Attached you will find a printscreen of behaviour of my outlook. You are using a non-English version of Outlook, and it wouldn't surprise me if it is some International setting somewhere. If it were happening to me, I'd look in Control PanelDate, Time, Language, and Regional OptionsRegional and Language OptionsCustomize and check the "List separator" setting. I know that a "German" setting uses a semi-colon as a list separator. -- Brian Tillman |
