On the Format Series menu, go to the Axis tab (Excel 2003 and earlier) or
whatever the first tab is in 2007, and click primary or secondary as needed. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Andy" wrote in message ... Sorted, because it was a %age, it was hard to select format data series to
assign the axis. "Andy" wrote: How can I allocate which data series I have against which y axis? I have four series: 3 numbers (axis 1) and want to allocate my fourth series (%age) to axis 2. Thanks |

Hi,
Select the series and then right click Format Data Series. On the Axis tab choose Plot on Secondary axis. 2 axes allocate series
Hi,
Another way to select a hard to select item on a chart is to open the Chart Object combo box on the Chart toolbar and pick a series. If the item isn't listed you can still select it if you know its exact name, by typing it into the combo box and press enter. You can select 8 major chart elements using the Up and Down cursor keys. You can select 24+ chart different elements using the Left and Right cursor keys. In Excel 2007 the combo box is called Chart Elements and is found in the first group of the Layout or Format tabs under Chart Tools. On the first tab of the Format Series dialog box, the Series Options tab is where you specify which axis the series should display on. If this helps, please click the Yes button.
