you don't.

You need to use special software to make the PDF.

for more info, look here

http://www.publishermvps.com/general/section_04.html

This may be a stupid question, but how do you save a
publisher document as a .PDF file? I do not see it as an
option and I am trying to design a newsletter to be
emailed as well.

Tracy,

If you don't have the $$ to spend on full Acrobat, and only need to create
..pdf files (not edit them), may I suggest PrimoPDF It's a freebie amd is
very simple to use. The only downfall is that it is a 10.5MB download. If
you have a dialup connection, call a friend with broadband and a CD burner.

I put together, using Publisher 2003, a newsletter every

quarter for a local
business. To save money, we've started sending the

newsletter by e-mail.

I just downloaded PDFactory from Fine Print and will be

sending the
newsletter as a PDF attachment.

Do I need to put some kind of blurb in the body of the

letter for the people
who don't have Adobe Reader that they can go to the

Adobe website to
download the reader? Since I already have Adobe on my

computer, I don't
know what information needs to be provided to readers

who don't have Adobe.
Or, does the screen pop-up automatically to download

Adobe for people who
don't already have it?

TIA

Adding to JoAnns advice;

There is also PDF-XChange Lite which is a 4.8 mb download. It's a trimmed
down version of PDF-XChange and if the Lite creates pdf files as the full
version they will be compatible with Acrobat Reader version 6. One of the
nice things about AR 6 is when you put your mouse pointer on an url or
e-mail address it makes it workable. It will also update old pdf files to
AR ver 6 just by re-"printing" them. To some, the bad news is, it costs
$20. I haven't used the Lite version so try before buying. I may be in
error. I'm a full version user of PDF-XChange.

If you have an interest, Tracker Software is at:
