database owner
I find out that the owner of current database in access 97 is unknown .
Does this prevent me to input the database properties? And how can I change the owner? THanks. |

Hi,
it means that user, who was owner, is deleted, or you started access using another workgroup file. so you can either connect to proper workgroup file, or take ownership of database, if you have enough permissions -- Best regards, ___________ Alex Dybenko (MVP) http://alexdyb.blogspot.com http://www.PointLtd.com "00KobeBrian" wrote in message ... Well, then you are not administrator or you have wrong workgroup file, so
you have to find right workgroup file, start access with it and then set necessary permissions -- Best regards, ___________ Alex Dybenko (MVP) http://alexdyb.blogspot.com http://www.PointLtd.com "00KobeBrian" wrote in message ... I created a db with the "system.mdw" and when I went to the "change owner"
tab, the "change owner" button was greyed out. I have also created a db with a "secured.mdw," signed in as the owner with the correct .mdw and the button was still greyed out. Should I use ADOX? Thanks for any help. Hi,
instead of creating new system.mdw you have to use system.mdw file, which was used when you applied security -- Best regards, ___________ Alex Dybenko (MVP) http://alexdyb.blogspot.com http://www.PointLtd.com "Matt" wrote in message ...
