Exporting a distribution list of contacts
Is there anyway to isolate a group of contacts within a
contact list and export the email address from Outlook. We have 2000 contacts in our main contacts listing. There are approx. 250 we have as a specific distribution list but must send these email address' to the email service. How do we do this. Thanks |

Exporting a distribution list of contacts
It is not clear what you need to do or in what format you need this list.
You can save a DL in RTF, then convert it in word to any other format you need. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "julie" wrote in message ... Exporting a distribution list of contacts
Thank you for the response.
How would I save a Distribution listing of people, i.e. 250 people listed under - Mailing #2 - as an RTF file. If I have an RTF I know what to do next. Thank you again, Julie -----Original Message----- It is not clear what you need to do or in what format you need this list. First, let's make sure you are actually talking about a Distribution List
that you created in Outlook using the File New Distribution List command. Are you? If not, what sort of grouping of Contacts is this? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] wrote in message ... yes, its not listed as a "contact" but when you open the
contact there are 250 names. -----Original Message----- First, let's make sure you are actually talking about a Distribution List that you created in Outlook using the File New Distribution List command. I don't understand what you mean by "it is not listed as a Contact." It must
exist within your Contacts Folder If you open a DL in Outlook, one of the Save as... options will be RTF format. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "julie" wrote in message ... yes, its not listed as a "contact" but when you open the contact there are 250 names. -----Original Message----- First, let's make sure you are actually talking about a Distribution List that you created in Outlook using the File New Distribution List command.
