Can't open database from Intranet link
Hello,
I have created a simple database where the user will go into my database and see the Splashscreen. This screen has two choices: Fill out a Ticket and Close Database. I have tried to create a data access page with a command button to send an email out once the form has been filled out. But I can't figure out how to do that. So I stuck with a Form which I set up a command button using SendObject. This works great!! Problem: I have linked my database to my Intranet which I created using FrontPage. I even went so far as to copy my database into my website files. However when someone clicks on the link to open the database it prompts to them that they must save it first in order to open it. Is there a way to just let it open to the Splash Screen so they don't have to save it. I would be fine sticking with a data access page but I must include a way to send an email notification that the ticket has been filled out. Idea and answers are greatly appreciated. -Justine |
