Combo box search from main form to subform
My main form is for main Contact information. It contains a child's name and
address. My subform shows a list of all the family members with their specific data. I want to create a combo box on the Main form that looks up by the family members' names from the subform and when you choose one of their names, it pulls up the record. Sometimes the family members last names are different from the child's name on the main record. I can make a query that gives me all the family member names in alpha order, but I don't know how to link it to the subform. I've had such wonderful success asking questions here before. I sure hope you can help once again. thanks. Terry Smith |

wrote: I don't understand. You write "My subform shows a list of all the family members", so why do you need a Search feature? Does a child have hundreds of family members? Or is your point that using the dropdown you want to select the subform record as the active record? -Tom. Microsoft Access MVP My main form is for main Contact information.
