Default Equation Editor 3.0

I'm having a problem with the font in Equation Editor 3.0 The font of my
equation's been set up by default as "Times New Roman" (through "Style"
and then "define") but then it appears as the different font on screen.
Does anybody know how to solve this? Many thanks!

You're going through the right steps to set up your font, but
make sure "Times New Roman" appears 5 times in the Style | Define
dialog. These 5 items should all be set to the same font (in this
case "Times New Roman", or TNR for short): Text, Function,
Variable, Vector-Matrix, and Number.

If those 5 items are set to TNR, then there's another issue
involved here, perhaps a conflict with an international keyboard,
software font substitution, or perhaps some other issue. It's
difficult to tell from the information given.
