Default office shortcut bar

Have just upgraded to office 2003 and I cant find the 'office shortcut bar'
anywhere. It used to sit to oneside of my desktop and provided quick access
to programs you placed on it.

As mentioned, you should search the group for alternatives:

Miss Perspicacia Tick wrote a comprehensive how to for a Windows XP
alternative recently as she mentioned.
Another alternative is relevant to computer specifications, just keep what
Office applications your using open in the task bar. I do this daily between
2 domains and doesn't use any extra resources.

Oh, FFS! This is *TOO* much - this question was asked not 12 hours ago - is
it really asking too much for people to *GOOGLE* before posting?! Do your
own research first you lazy twonk.

I hope it was typed with a touch less vitriol than are her frequent posts. I
do wonder sometimes whether she's an independently wealthy performance
artist.

To the OP:
Before proceeding with any attempt at rescue of the Office Toolbar, try
copying your frequently-used shortcuts to the QuickLaunch bar in Windows
instead - I think it is MUCH better. The Office Toolbar was really a waste
of desktop space & resources - the QL bar is really a lot nicer when you get
used to it.

I wish! £500pcm disability! I get my temperament from my father's side I'm
afraid; his uncle was an actor - made quite a bit, then drank and gambled
most of it away.

Have you checked under the couch? Perhaps there's a large burlap sack full
of bearer bonds there. That's where mine often end up.

I wish! I cried when I found £10,000 worth of expired share certificates and
dividend cheques under my grandfather's bed, though - dating back to pre-WW2
(well, almost!). He has a massive 6-bed house in the middle of nowhere (my
grandmother died last year) and he's got papers (and other junk) dating back
nearly three-quarters of a century.

Well, at least he didn't will his estate to PETA.
