Default Does Any on Know how to decrypt a word doc

Hello!

I have a word document, when I open the document I am welcomed with
symbols, Different sorts of symbols like $______**&-------=~` etc but
no Txe is written there I can only numbers are shown... I guess the
file is some what encrypted or some thing like that. But I want to view
the text, so Is there any way to view the text ? ?
I tried to select all the text and change the font, but of no use, then
I chnaged my strategy and tried to Save the file in different formats
offered by MS Word but all in vain... SO if any one of you could help
me...... I shall be thankful to him ... ..

Yasser,

I don't think the file is encrypted because encrypted Word files don't
normally let you see anything in Word unless you have opened in Notepad!
in which case you will only see binary characters without knowing
whether the file is encrypted or not.

I suspect the language of the file is somewhat different from your
computer. For example, if the file was emailed from China, then US
users may not be able to decipher the characters properly in US English
system. I am simply speculating this.

if the are in proper order, I mean they are where they should be. . May
be the file is encrypted or.........? I have tried to open in different

If the file was encrypted I would think the source of the file would have
said so and told you how to decrypt it. You should contact the source and
tell them that the file is either corrupt or encrypted and ask them for
suggestions.

Can you send the file on to me? Let me see if I can open it. If I can, the
problem is on your end. If I can't, the problem is on their end.

If you'd like to accept my offer, email the file to jl dot paules at gmail
dot com.

Have you got the latest Word on your system? It is very likely that the
file was created in Word 2003 but you don't have it on your system. Do
you want to send me the file to see if I can open it and downgrade it to
Office 95-2002 or something similar to make sure you can open it.

My email is:

xfsgpr (at) yahoo (dot) com

Replace the obvious to obvious.
