There isn't even a problem. Comcast is your ISP; gives your CPE the IP
address used for your Internet connection. Comcast does not hinder you
from subscribing to MSN Hotmail.

MSN Hotmail is a mail service provider. There are currently two forms

I have a little trouble getting Windows Live Mail to work with Mozilla

To access your Hotmail account in Outlook Express, you'll have to subscribe
to Hotmail Plus or MSN Premium.

If you have a freebie Hotmail account, all you get is the
webmail-for-dummies interface via browser. You will have to PAY
Microsoft to get access to Hotmail from within Outlook or Outlook
Express.
