Default Visio 2003 Standard features question

hi,

i am deciding on what version of visio 2003 to buy, either
standard or professional.

i was wondering if i buy visio 2003 standard would i be
able to draw uml diagrams, such as: uml activity,
collaboration, component, deployment, sequence,
statechart, static structure, use case digrams.

also does visio 2003 standard offer Database Design shapes
as well?

thanks in advance

You would need the Professional version for those features.

Default Visio 2003 Standard features question

thanks for your help.

However, I was looking at the comparison of visio 2003
standard and professional and it mentions that visio 2003
standard does not have database design with reverse
engineering and software design with reverse engineering.

Would the UML design features that I am looking for fall
under those two categories (i.e. database design with
reverse engineering and software design with reverse
engineering)?

Also is there a web page on microsoft that describes the
UML features in visio?

Thanks again in advance

dave
