Default Outlook Web Access

When trying to email via OWA using IE 7, the software prompts for the Outlook
2000 disk. (Computer has Office 2000 and Windows XP on it). If I delete
Outlook from the computer, and leave Outlook Express, would the problem cease
to exist? I don't believe OWA needs Outlook to reside on the computer for
OWA to operate.
