Assign recurring task to someone else
Hi,
I'm trying to assign a weekly recurring task in Outlook to someone else. The task needs to have a reminder time set, and each time the person completes the task a new task for the following week needs to be automatically regenerated. I've tried to set this up, however as soon as I select the Assign Task button, the reminder checkbox and reminder date and time fields disappear. I can send the task assignment successfully, but as there is no reminder setup, the person to whom I've assigned the task will never get a pop-up reminder when the task becomes due. They will only know that they have a task assigned to them if they check their Tasks view in Outlook. Can someone please assist and let me know how to assign a reminder date and time to tasks assigned to someone else? Thanks! |

The receiver can still assign its own reminders if he/she finds it necessary
to be reminded for it. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Nuzza" wrote in message ... Thanks, but I would actually prefer to set the reminder myself, as the people
being assigned the task may not check the tasks view in their Outlook, so may never know they have a task assigned to them. Is that possible? No, you can't.
