Default Pls. help with odd issue

I am running Powerpoint 2003 under XP. Intermittently, and
unpredictably, the following occurs. When I open a Powerpoint
presentation, the cursor continuously flashes, the screen refreshes
very quickly and constantly, and the magnification setting instantly
goes to 400% and immediately reverts to 400% if one tries to change
it.

Furthermore, though Slideshow view will start and display the first
slidfe, any effort to run the slide show results in the presentation
immediately reverting to the first slide.

TIA
Les

Couple of possibilities

Try turning back grahics accelleration
Right click desktop propertiessettings advanced troubleshoot. start
far left and if it works increase a notch at a time. You should also check
for video driver updates.

Check in slide show set up show that show slides all is checked

If none of this helps try help detect and repair

Good Luck!

You may also want to check for mouse driver updates or possibly a loose/poor
connection.

The zoom feature can be controlled via the mouse scroll wheel. If there is
a bad setting/connection in this, it could effect the way you see the
presentation.
