Default Problems with Daylight Savings

I ran into a similar problem - my Palm Treo running the Palm OS was having
trouble sync'ing with Outlook 2007 Calendar. It was failing with an
unhelpful OLERR code and Palm gave me a list of many possible causes. While
going through these possible corrective messures
(http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBC...= obj(31167)),
I thought about Daylight Savings. I went through my Outlook appointments and
found one that ended before it started right in the 2 hr window when we
recently changed to DST. I was not able to delete it but when I tried, it
seemed to disappear and I was unable to find it in the list after a popup
appeared announcing a disrepancy was found by Outlook. So I thought, well
maybe that was the problem. I ran HotSync and it ran clean. I'm assuming it
was that appointment. Go through your appointments as View-All Appointments
and look at the Start and End times.

Yeah, ones that start about the time of the change can cause issues too.

Default Problems with Daylight Savings

Diane,

Thanks so much for your help and advice. What you wrote about dual time
zones may be the culprit. While I have Outlook on my desktop set to only
have 1 time zone, my mobile device has 2 timezones defined. I changed it as
I was travelling some to an Eastern time zone. Since I'm in Central, your
scenario bears out. I've since changed the second time zone to also be
Central so hopefully this won't happene this fall, or next spring. I just
have to remember that if I change the time zone, to be watchful around DST
being/end and modify the zones accordingly.
