There are many types of "genuine of office pro 2007" but the real question
is: is it a retails version or is it an OEM version. There are some
retailers still selling OEM versions even if you don't buy any hardware
going with it. That aside, generally retail versions can be installed on
two devices - mainly one desktop and one portable. However, there is no way
this can be checked because Steve Ballmer of M$ is a very busy man who
hasn't got the time to visit all his 5 billion or so customers and he has no
intention of hiring DL because DL is a drug junkie without any intelligence.

How you gone manage without a CD drive is a big question. People have
managed to buy an external USB DVD/CD drive and done it that way; some have
copied the entire CD on a flash drive and used that to install it; some
went even further to network their netbook with a desktop or laptop and used
the CD on other machine to install it on netbook.

Where there is a will, there is always a way. Some have downloaded the
trial version and hacked it to make it into a full version without paying
anything but this is completely unreligious and our resident nun Susie
Ramlet may not like it.

Hope this helps.

In addition to ***15's (or whatever he/she/it is calling their self today as
it does change daily) mostly correct comments, if you have broadband
connection with the netbook you can go to the URL I post below and click on
your product and download the product's installation files directly to your
computer. Note that these are not trial versions but the full retail
package (not an upgrade version,) the same as would be on the CD/DVD
received.

In general if the license is a retail full install of Office 2007 it can be
installed onto a primary device and a portable device which is used
exclusively by the primary user of the first device (slightly paraphrased
from the original license agreement.) An upgrade retail product takes on
the license agreement of the original product and an OEM version is able to
be installed onto one machine only and dies with that machine.
