Default O2007 Won't repair, install, uninstall

If I use Add/Remove Programs to Change = Nothing happens. If I use it to
Remove It says "MS Office Enterprise uninstall did not complete successfully."

If I put in my original Office Enterprise 2007 DVD I get = "Setup did not
complete successfully. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

I found the log that MS wants us to send to them and the error near the
bottom is: "Error: Type: . UnexpectedError ErrorCode: 1605(0x645). This
action is only valid for products that are currently installed." BTW, I
cannot remove MS Project either!

I've tried everything I know of. I've searched MS and found the windows
installer cleanup utility but in the readme it says don't use on Office 2007.

Have you tried to contact the Company from where you purchased this Office 2007 Enterprise through their Home Program. Their IT person should be able to help you since they are the ones that hold the main volume license for it.

Sorry, not sure what I said that made you think that I purchased it though
some program. That's not applicable to me. It's part of my action pack.

Sorry, and I stand by not understanding g. This is from the Microsoft
Action Pack. I've been evaluating the software. There are no problems with
it, but I want to uninstall it. I cannot. I've always successfully gotten
help from the nice people in the MS Newsgroups for things like this as it's
darn near impossible to get it directly from MS Support.

Did you happen to ever get this figured out? I am having the same problem and
my post has been avoided like the plague. I managed to get office uninstalled
using the Microsoft uninstaller (which will probably work for you to get rid
of it) but my problem is that I cannot get it to re-install. Sounds like the
same problem as you described it.

No I haven't. So far I've just been told to go elsewhere; and there is no
elsewhere for me. I've never had that problem here. Usually people are quite
helpful. This must be a touchy subject!

Hi Bryan,

You may want to use the manual steps in this article to remove Office 2007:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218?FR=1

The MS Action Pack subscription is part of the MS Partner Program. The partner program has a separate support/discussion group
structure through http://partner.microsoft.com
