Default How do I register Office 2007 with a product ID?

I am trying to activate my Office 2007 on my laptop and it was already
installed on my home computer. I don't have the product key anymore, but I
have the product ID from my home computer. Is there any way to activate
Office on my laptop using the product ID from my home computer? If not, is
there any way to obtain the product key using the product ID without
contacting Microsoft and paying them?

If it is not OEM, then download Belarc Advisor on your home PC. That
will give you the product key.

No, it was installed using a cd. But I don't have the product key anymore
that I had used to activate it on the home computer

Run Belarc Advisor on your computer - and then keep that number in a safe
place.

And really hope that you never have to reinstall it for any purpose on
either computer without the CD!

For Office and Windows keys I like Keyfinder from www.magicaljellybean.com.
I use version 2.01 for Office 2002 or later and version 1.51 for versions
earlier than 2000 (of course nothing retrieves O-2K.) Nothing to really
install onto the computer unlike Belarc Advisor. I use Belarc for greater,
in-depth snooping of machines.

everything you'd ever want to know about your computer...and then some.)
