When Clicking on 'Sent' An error 1706 appears?
When I try to 'send' an email, window pops up saying Error 1706 says can't
find my Microsoft Greetings disk, need me to install disk. When I just want to send my email, not link to file type: Installation Package (*.msi). When eventually I manage to stop it popping up it asks me if I still want to send my email, that the spell check is halted, do I want to send anyway. Can anyone help me, how to get it back to just checking my spelling, then sending into my sent items folder. I am using Outlook Express 6 with MS Windows XP pro. with SP2, not even updated my IE yet, using version 6. |

When Clicking on 'Sent' An error 1706 appears?
Thanks for trying to help me, but was not possible as a wrong program. I
have done a website search and found a repair, tried the following, but still did not need help: I have uninstalled CSAPI3T1.DLL then re-installed it from a link on a website, back into the folder (*Proof) found in: C:\Program File\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof, but still tries to open Microsoft Greetings asking for the disk, so it cannot open the Spell checker, when sending an email or when click on the Spell Checker in Outlook Express. There is a JPEG & Gif icon against all the .DLL’s (including the CSAPI3T1.DLL) + wrong 'graphics' icons against all the .LEX items in this folder, can anyone help me please, by changing the wrong ‘open with’ item, so I can get back my spell checker in Outlook Express? Click Start, click Run, type Regedt32, and then click OK. 2. Double-click to expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder, expand the Software folder, and then expand the Microsoft folder. 3. Double-click to expand the Shared Tools folder, and then click the SharedFilesDir value. 4. On the Edit menu, click Modify. 5. Type C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ in the Value Data box, and then click OK. Make sure you include the trailing backslash. 6. Quit Registry Editor. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. Don't send mail. |

Thanks for the help again Frank, I just did this, the C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ was already shown in the value data box. Any other suggestions please? "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM" wrote: "Olim22" wrote in message ... Besides having CSAPI3T1.DLL in C:\Program Files\ Common Files\| Microsoft Shared \Proof, some people need to also have a copy in C:\Program Files\Outlook Express. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup.
