WindowsXP Professional 2002 Service Pack 1
I am having problems with MicrosoftOfficeXP Professional
with FrontPage. Everytime that I attempt to open a program, or the internet or anything, there are several messages that appear. (1) Please wait while Windows configures MicosoftOfficeXP Gathering required information.. (2) The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM. Please insert the MicrosoftOfficeXP Professional with FrontPage disk. (Plese note that I did not receive any disks with my computer as this is a 'generic' computer) (3) The path 'MicrosoftOfficeXP Professional cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package 'PROPLUS.MSI' in a folder from which you can install the product 'MicrosoftOfficeXP Professional with FrontPage'. (4) Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. Check your connection to the network, or CD-ROM drive. For other potential solutions to this problem, see C:\ProgramFiles MicrosoftOffice\Office10\1033\SETUP.HLP (which I have tried to no avail). (5) The key 'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShareDL Ls refers to missing file C:\Windows\System32\CTFMON.EXE. I realize this list is extensive, however, I thought it best to list all error messages that appear. I have also tried the 'Search' option in my 'Start Menu', as well as calling Microsoft. Nothing that I have tried in order to resolve this problem myself has helped. Thank you so much for your time. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Melissa |
