Problem mailing access CD files and opening on another computer
I am a new Access user. I can not mail a CD file copy to another person and
them open it on their computer. What am I doing wrong? Please Help, Bob |

Problem mailing access CD files and opening on another computer
Most likely, the problem is that CD files are marked "read only".
The recipant will need to copy the file onto their hard drive, then select file properties and uncheck the 'read only' attribute. Also, of course, they will need to have the same version (or newer) of MsAccess installed to be able to open the file. Another 'gotcha' is if you use 'linked tables' they may have to relink them to match their file structure. Other than one of the above, you will need to provide more information. Ed Warren.
