I created a Db to track equipment man hrs and down time.
My question and delema is simple, " but not for me " I have a form called " maintenance main" A subform called " Equipment extention" A subform in the equipment extention called " parts and labor" this is what I am trying to do.. on the main form is "total hrs" on sub form "equipment extention" is total hrs --this is for the sum value in parts and labor sub form parts and labor ( datasheet view) is field hrs field on parts and labor "in the footer" total hrs control is =sum([hrs]) this works. I want the main form to add all the sums for equipment extention so I can get a grand total of hrs for the whole machine and not just the parts of it. Thanlks and I know that you will neet some more codes But please help |

Open the form in design view. Click on the menu VIEW - Properties. Click on
the main form textbox "total hrs" and scroll down the properties to find Running Sum - set to Yes. "newbi" wrote: I created a Db to track equipment man hrs and down time. There Is no running sum on the forms properties
Maybe I can explain better maintenance main has field " equip #" equip name" " total hrs" subform " equip ext" has "equip #" ext # "total hrs1" subform, subform has " ext#" " employee" work done "hrs more than one employee will work on this and set hrs the main form has equipment named " mixer" this represents the entire machine the Equipment extention named " long arm" which is part of the entire machine the parts and labor sub is where all hrs are placed. now I can sum the hrs in the sub/sub form with total hrs =sum([hrs]) which works and place it on the sub form as total hrs = forms![main]![ext].form![total hrs] this works for each part of the machine. however I need to total the sums of all parts and place it on the main form so I can get total hrs worked on entire machine, It is done on a report but I reall need it to appear on the form as we go along . thanks "KARL DEWEY" wrote: Open the form in design view.
