Define "crash". Are there any messages in Deleted Items you need? (There
shouldn't be). -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail] Imperial Beach, CA "randy" wrote in message ... greetings! using outlook express 6, compacting a particular folder (deleted items) crashes outlook... suggestions? -- --- |

Suggestions? Sure!
From your headers: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2600.0000 You're running outdated and VERY unsecure versions of OE, IE, and Windows! Get that computer fully patched before worrying about Outlook Express! Robear,
Impressive response. Somewhat off topic, but how are you fellows able to see the email headers in the discussion group communications? I access them frequently in OE, but don't see access to that info thru the discussion group format. Do you have special software you use as OE experts to help in the discussions, or is there a function to check to see all the header info? Thanks, -- John E. Even if it is a Win98 box running IE6 (not IE6 SP1), it's still not safe to
use online until you get it fully patched! randy wrote: hmmm - curious - deleted a subfolder located in "deleted items" and it works fine now. nevermind! cant replicate the msg to tell you anymore. pa bear - yup i know its an oldie - win 98 and been running over 10 year w/no probs.
