Yes, that's a perfect description of MS and its cohorts.

At least this thread makes MS's do-nothing position clear on this issue -
i.e. release a new version of their email client and change the name at the
same time, then claim no responsibility for anything that went before.
Leaves everybody with Vista and the built-in Windows Mail stuck in the lurch
with that lame op system and buggy email/news client. It will take another
5-10 years before that plays out and the related bugs disappear from the
internet.

I wonder if the confederacy of dunces will do any better with Windows 7,
etc? I doubt it.
