Default OE Msimn.exe error in Directdb.dll

Bruce Hagen, thanks for your suggestions.
Does anyone know what the instructions I posted will accomplish?
Aahh, if this was only a VM mainframe - of course the I wouldn't have a problem.

If you are running XP, here's how to run repair.

How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and
Outlook Express in Windows XP (Q318378)
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q318378

If you do not have XP:

In the event that the Repair tool does not work, or Internet Explorer 5
is
not listed in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel, it may be
possible to start the Repair tool from the command line:

Start/Run

In the Open box, type the following command exactly as listed:

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

NOTE: This command line is case sensitive. Click OK./quote
