Question re printing from IE
I'm using IE 6.0.2800 sp2, and XP Pro sp1 (all recently re-installed
& updated) How can I set the default page for printing to letter size so that I don't have to go into page setup every time I start IE? When I restart IE, it has defaulted back to an A4 page size, which is longer than 11" and my footers (web addresses) don't print. I'm using an Epson C80 printer with the default page size set to letter. This never happened before I re-installed XP, IE6 and OE6. |

Question re printing from IE
Not sure exactly your question. Your posting to Outlook Express
newsgroup. Outlook Express uses the same print engine as Internet Explorer. For print size: IEViewText SizeMake adjustment. For margins: IEFilePage Setup. -- Bruce Hagen ~IB-CA~ "Lorraine W" wrote in message ... Question re printing from IE
The name of the newsgroup (at least on my computer) shows as
"microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlook express", so I assumed that questions about IE6 shoul be posted here. If I'm wrong - please direct me to the correct group. My problem is that IE6 (and OE6 as well) are using the wrong paper size for printing, unless I manually reset it every time I print. Both programs are using paper size A4 (a British size) which is longer than 11" and therefore the footer (web address) does not print. I don't know how to explain it any more clearly than that. I know how to set the margins and print size and how to change the paper size. What I want to know is, how can I make the programs use letter size as the default size? I often print recipes or computer info from websites and it is a BIG help to have the address on the sheet so that I can return to the site for more info. if needed.
