Default 2 users open same file and both can edit/change the file

If one user open a file, how can I prevent the other user from open the file
for editing. In the past Excel/Word normally display a read-only message when
a file that is opened is being acced.

Default 2 users open same file and both can edit/change the file

The file must be shared to be shared. So perhaps your file is set to be
shared.
