Default Can I shrink the whole word document to A6 or A7?

But note that that will come out slightly smaller than he wants,
because part of the 1/8 page of each image will be taken up by the
blank margins.

The principle is essentially that athttp://www.gmayor.com/print_multiple_copies.htm

Thanks peter I didnt realise i could do that. *i did rather hope that
I could do one document in A4 and then shrink it to fit the different
sized magazine spaces. *I guess i will have to do several instead,
although i can now do A^ just by changing the print scale.

many thanks for your help

You didn't actually say you'd started with A4 ... why not simply
create the document in the size you want to end up with, in the first
place?

Go to the document and manually change all the dimensions to 1/4 of
what they were.

Or to 1.2 of what they were and print at 50%.

You are right, i have actually decreased th size of the document to
1/4 the size of A4 but i actually need it to be 1/4 of A5 (which is
actually 1/8 of A4).

As i said I dont have an option to print 50% of the size in the
scaling drop down menu; instead i have a series of pre-set sizes
(A5 , 4x6ins, 3x5ins, envelope etc etc). *Is there a way to get an
option to print 50%? Is there no way to shrink the document itself?

Thanks
Steve

Hmm. 50% should make the edges half as long (i.e., the area 1/4 as
big), not the area half as big! I don't know what to do.

Thank you Peter. *This has worked perfectly to reduce the

need to reduce the A6 by half again. *I don't have a 50% scale
option, rather it gives me options of sizes available. *Is there
another way to shrink the whole document.
Thanks

Are you submitting a camera-ready paper copy to the magazine? If
so, set the Scaling in the print dialog to 50%.

But won't the margins also be reduced proportionally? Reductions don't work
very well with US Letter because it doesn't have the same aspect ratio when
rotated (that is, 5.5" x 8.5" doesn't have the same proportions as 8.5" x
11"), but European A sizes reduce very well because A5 is exactly half of A4
and so on.
