Default In options, Current Database- Hide navigation pane

In my database I clicked off to hide navigation pane. My database crashed
and when I tried to re-open it, I get the MS error asking to send data
message. When I click no, it keeps making copies of the database over and
over until I click the close button. Any suggestions on what happened and if
I can salvage my current database?

Is it possible that making changes to the switchboard could have caused this
problem?
