Default Hyperlinks between Excel 2000 and 2002

I have a spreadsheet in Excel 2002 (XP) that has
hyperlinks pointing to external workbooks. When I put
this Workbook as a shortcut on our Server OFC 2000 Excel
2000 the hyperlinks path stays as forward slashes and then
the Hyperlink will not work. If I edit the hyperlink on
the server to backslashes then it works fine. The file is
being maintaind from the home office with all XP users.
The file and Linked information needs to be made available
to the field, which are dialing in with Office 2000
laptops to a Office 2000 CITRIX Server. THe Workbook is
actually on the server desktop so this is not a mapping
issue. Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

Russell
