If Excel is already running, excel email attachments will not open

I'm experiencing a starnge one.


If I am multi tasking and I have already been working with excel with a file
I have opened from my hard drive, go to email and try and open an excel
attchment, it switches the windo to excel but doesn't open the excel
attachment. I have to close all open documents AND close excel. After I do
that it opens the attachment fine.

If I do not have excel open and I click on an excel email attachment it
opens fine. If I then go to another excel attachment it also works fine. A
hard drive file will also open.

It is only when I have opened excel by not opening an attachment that it
doesn't want to open th eattachment.

Any guru's that can help me ??!!
