linking worksheets and copying formulas in cells
You should use copy-paste and then clear up the original position,
instead of cut Hope it helps! --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

linking worksheets and copying formulas in cells
Thanks, I had tried that actually, but since the portfolio I am making
isn't really for me to work with once it's finished, I'm concerned about convenience, and I dont want to have to explain this to everyone who works on it. If there is a way to keep the links from changing after cutting and pasting I would like to know. --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

linking worksheets and copying formulas in cells
Select the cell /cells ,then doubling clicking on one of the borders, drag
to new location. "miranda" wrote in message ... I am having a similar problem. I am trying to create a loan portfolio where one sheet in the workbook has all the information about different loans and other sheets are linked to the main data sheet to create charts and display the information differently, etc. When I try to move data around in the main data sheet (i.e. cut and paste the data from one row of cells to another), the links change and i get the #REF! value. For example, when I want to move data from C6 to C30, I cut from C6 and paste to C30, but all the cells in other worksheets that previously linked to C30 show error messages. How can I keep the links from changing? How can I keep these other cells linked to C30 in the data sheet regardless of what is moved into the cell? Help. --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |
