Default How can a person find out what style or styles are being used?

Hello Everyone,

I open a MS Publisher 2007 document and don't know what type of formatting
it is using for the heading and the body of text. Is there a way to know
what styles are being used in the document?

In the menu bar under "Format" a person could check the settings in "Font",
"Character Spacing", "Paragraph", "Bullets and Numbering", "Horizontal
Rules", "Tabs", etc. and get an idea of the formatting and possibly get an
idea of the style, but what if the document was created by someone else and
your computer does not have the style that was used and thus you yourself had
to figure out the formatting and then create a style.

Any ideas on how to figure out the style without checking all the settings
under "Format" from the menu bar?

Thanks to all who reply,

Ismael

Format - Styles. When the left pane open, at the bottom, i the Show: box,
change "All Styles" to "Styles in use".

Look at the Font Schemes in the Format menu. If you have a template on your
screen Font Schemes menu will display the scheme of the template. There is a
Styles link on this task bar.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes it will show all the Styles in use but what I am looking for is the
ability to click on one of the styles in use and it would highlight the area
in the document that reflects when and where in the document that particular
style is in use. Something maybe similar to the show/hide button (in Word
2007 or the special characters button in Publisher 2007) where it shows all
the invisible keystrokes that a person made to produce the document.

Is this feature/ability possible or even available?

If you place your cursor in any part of the text, the style will be active in
the style task bar.
