From what I can see and the comments that have been made in here it would appear that if you are running Outlook 2002 or 2003, patched up to date, running in a plain text mode and your virus checking is up to date, you are relatively safe as long as your users are not opening infected emails. Running in an open or shut preview pane is irrelevant where script and email type viruses are concerned. Is this the case?

Yes, but it is not limited to Plain Text and Outlook 2002 and 2003. Fully
patched previous versions of Outlook and HTML and Rich Text messages are also save. Outlook 2003 adds the ability to also prevent pictures from being downloaded from the Internet so spammers can't trace whether or not your address is valid. -- Roady [MVP] www.sparnaaij.net Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office related News Also Outlook FAQ, How To's, Downloads and more... Thanks for your help. Appreciate the replies.
