Default Mail Merge CheckBoxes?

Hi,

Is it possible to set a checkbox on a word doc via mail merge? I'd like to
have a checkbox on my Word document and have it be either checked or
unchecked depending on a field in my mail merge data source (which is just a
comma delimited text file). I am using MS Word 2003. Thanks!

Use an If...then...Else field that returns the appropriate symbol from the
InsertSymbol menu item, depending upon the value of the mergefield.

Hope this helps.

Hi Richard: Did you ever figure out how to get a mail merge code to turn
into a checkbox? I need this for a form I am creating.

Thanks.

Doug: How do I contact you to find out about your services? I need to get
the syntax for turning the mergefield into a checkbox? Thanks.

Michelle, I don't know where one finds a box with a checkmark in it, but how
about an IF field that prints [Wingdings 110] if true, and [Wingdings 111] if
false. This is not a coding example. When typing the IF field, I would
actually InsertSymbol Wingdings [choose the filled or unfilled box].

Finally discovered the "checked box" symbol.

Wingdings 254 is a box with a check in it. Could you print Wingdings 254 if
true and Wingdings 111 if false?
