Hello Folks!

I just deleted 2 out of 4 identities due to spam! Imagine
that!

Anyhow, what I forgot to do was delete all the old
messages before I deleted the identities. I know that
those messages are stored in DBX files but how do I figure
out which files are for which identity?

The 4 identity folders are there but the folder names are
just a series of numbers! Look like objects to me.

Thanks for your help!

OK, I figured out a way to do this.

I created a unique temp folder for the active identities
while in OE. I then went into the identity folders
expecting a new DBX file to appear but they didn't until I
put a message in those new temp folders.

Now that I have the deleted indentities identified, I can
just delete the folders and all the associated DBX files.

Is/was there a simplier way to do this that I just am not
aware of?

Or am I really making a mess of things here?

If you go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder for each =
identity, that will give you the paths to the ones that are left. Then =
you can delete the other ones. Search for *.dbx (hidden) and that =
should give all 4 directories. You might rename the directories before =
deleting them to prevent from accidentally deleting the wrong ones.

Hi Steve!

Thanks .... yes, that does work much easier!

Just a small tweak though. The entire path was so long
that it is not fully displayed in that little box. To get
around that, place the cursor in the box and right click,
then click select all. Then paste into something like
notepad.

Thanks!
